Film & Fireside series

For our next Film & Fireside gathering, we’ll be watching Blood Road, a powerful documentary following endurance athlete Rebecca Rusch and Vietnamese cycling partner Huyen Nguyen as they ride 1,200 miles along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Their journey leads to the crash site and final resting place of Rebecca’s father, a U.S. Air Force pilot shot down over Laos more than 40 years earlier.
Blood Road is a story of grief, resilience, reconciliation, and the healing power of movement. This film centers both personal and collective histories, asking what it means to ride toward truth — and what we discover about ourselves, our families, and our shared past along the way.

Welcoming the solstice
Dec 21 marks the shortest day of the year — and from here, the light slowly returns. To honor that quiet shift, we’re gathering for a cozy community screening of Lael Rides Around the World at Treeline Outfitters.
The 90-minute film will begin at 4 PM (sunset). Expect wintery vibes, warm drinks, light snacks, and good company.
This is a community event — riders, friends, and bike-curious folks are all welcome. No cycling experience needed. Just bring a comfy layer and settle in as we ease into winter, together.
