Riding with Trail Mixers

Our Approach – The Trail Mix Way

We believe the trail—gravel, dirt, or paved—is where growth happens through movement, community, and play. We ride with curiosity and inclusion, celebrating presence over performance. Our “trail mix” is a blend of movement, mindfulness, and meaning. Connection > competition · Curiosity > comparison · Adventure > achievement.

Trail Mixers is queer-inclusive, intergenerational, and welcomes riders of all backgrounds. We honor different bodies, bikes, and pacing styles.

Core Safety Principles

Ride Prepared: Check your bike and gear before every ride — tires inflated, brakes working, lights charged.

Helmet Required: No exceptions.

Self-Reliance: Bring what you need — tools, tubes, water, snacks.

No-Drop Philosophy: We ride together.

Communicate if you need to stop or slow down

Respect & Kindness: Be courteous to fellow riders, pedestrians, drivers, and trail users.

Rules of the Road/Trail: Follow traffic laws and posted signage. Signal intentions.

Emergency Awareness: Know basic safety steps and share any medical conditions with the leader if relevant.
